Principal's Message

Welcome to the New Alex Haley Academy website. The faculty and staff hope that website will be a great way to reach out to our parents, students, and the school’s community and possibly the world! Take a few moments to explore our website.

Alex Haley Academy is located in the Sheldon Heights. We currently offer Pre-kindergarten through 8th grade, educating about 540 students. We are committed to helping each child develop academically, emotionally, and physically in a safe, respectful, and student-oriented environment. We encourage parents to become partners in their child’s educational journey. Research has shown a direct relationship between parent involvement and student success at school. Alex Haley has a thriving Local School Council (LSC) and Parent Action Committee (PAC), which also provides additional parent support and activities.

This school year promises to be an exciting one. We have scheduled exciting field trips, sports programs, as well as other captivating after school programs. While our after school programs will provide additional supports for our students, we also takes great pride in high quality academic programs, for all of our students. Haley strives for a positive school environment committed to student achievement. We hope you enjoy our website and thank you for your support of our school..
